Actions to improve rural roads
Objective.
Reducing the cost of transporting products, easier and faster access for agricultural machinery, as well as faster and safer transport of perishable products.
Results:
Ensuring easy and safe accessibility to farms, in rural areas, throughout the year, with the parallel improvement and modernization of cultivation methods (machine access, easy movement of production, etc.) contributes to improving the competitiveness of farms, with positive effects on farm income.

Funding:
It is implemented through an Investment Loan granted by the Deposits and Loans Fund, agreed by a loan agreement between the Project Owner and the Deposits and Loans Fund and repaid from the resources of the Public Investment Programme (PIP) of the Ministry of Interior.

It concerns the improvement of existing roads:
- “Improvement of the rural road Nochia – Marathokefala”, which is located outside the boundaries of the settlement of Marathokefala in the Spilia and Nochia districts of the Kolymbari district.
- “Improvement of the Dere-Skonizo road”, which is located outside the boundaries of the settlement of Dere of the local community of the same name, of the district of Platanias and the settlement of Skonizo of the district of Vatolakkos, of the district of Mousouroi.
- “Improvement of the existing rural road Trachinos, outside the settlement of Vavouledo of TK Palea Rouma” which is located in the district of Voukolion.
and includes the improvement of the geometric characteristics of the roads, the construction of small technical works (storm water drains) and the paving with asphalt and concrete.
